"Beware of the Fakes”: Ukrenerho Warns about False Information on Emergency Blackouts

Ukrenerho warns Ukrainians about false information on cancellation of emergency blackouts spread online. In fact, the emergency power outages in Ukraine may be abandoned only after complete cessation of enemy strikes against energy system.

"Beware of the fakes! Social media users are spreading false information about allegedly planned cancellation of emergency power outages with the reference to fake Ukrenerho account. This is an attempt to stir up the society with false announcements,” the company warns.

Ukrenerho also explains why it is impossible to abandon emergency blackouts right now.

"Emergency blackouts are a forced step used only, when there is a power deficit in the energy system, in order to maintain the balance of power generation and power consumption. The power engineers will e able to cancel emergency blackouts only after complete cessation of enemy strikes against energy system”, the company added.
