Russian forces aim to disrupt the logistics of the Ukrainian military by causing flooding through the destruction of the Kurakhove Reservoir dam.

Military analyst Denys Popovych expressed this opinion on the air of the telethon.

Commenting on the enemy’s actions, he noted, that "the intention here is that rising water will flood roads critical for the Ukrainian Armed Forces."

"The enemy has long sought to cut off routes, particularly Kurakhove-Zaporizhzhia, to create difficulties for our forces. If this scenario unfolds, it could further complicate logistics for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as water would severely hinder movement,” Popovych explained.

Flooding from the reservoir would not impact Russian troops, as their attacks are coming from the opposite direction. Instead, the water would likely spread into the rear areas of Ukraine’s defensive positions.
