The casualty toll from the Russian attack on the Odesa district has climbed to 11, including two children aged 11 and 12, according to Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

Eight of the victims have been hospitalized, he said. The casualties include six men, three women, and two children.

Victims were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds, burns, acoustic trauma, limb injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and acute stress reactions. Doctors evaluate the condition of three patients as severe.

"Medics are providing them with all necessary assistance," Kiper reported.

The State Emergency Service had previously reported eight injured, including one child. The attack damaged a pet store, a post office, a liquor store, and passenger cars.

A massive fire engulfing 1,700 square meters broke out at the impact site. Firefighters have since extinguished the blaze. State Emergency Service psychologists were also deployed to the scene.

The rescue service reported that a dog perished inside the burning pet store.
