The Russian occupiers will likely attempt to break through defenses in the Zaporizhzhia direction, as well as reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

This was stated by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office and former commander of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar,” Pavlo Palisa, in an interview with Army TV.

According to Palisa, the main directions of Russian attacks are:

  • reaching the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions,

  • creating a so-called “buffer zone” on Ukrainian territory along the border in Kharkiv and Sumy regions,

  • breaking through defenses in the Zaporizhzhia direction,

  • an offensive involving a crossing of the Dnipro River in Kherson region.

“In the near future, the enemy will focus its main efforts on reaching the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions; on creating a buffer zone, as they call it, on Ukrainian territory along the border in Kharkiv and Sumy regions. There is also a high probability they will attempt to "break through" defenses in the Zaporizhzhia direction. And with high probability, they will try to develop an offensive involving the crossing of the water barrier in Kherson region,” he emphasized.
