During a meeting in Lviv on December 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk discussed arms supplies for Ukraine, Poland’s continued support, and historical issues. The Ukrainian leader said that his country needs a just peace.

Zelenskyy highlighted these points in his statement:

"We discussed the battlefield situation in detail. Ukraine needs a just peace, strength, and reinforcement. Efforts to stop the war will be made after Donald Trump’s inauguration. We need a strong, united stance from all partners for true peace. I am grateful for Poland’s readiness to assist and for the support provided since the first days of the full-scale war and throughout Ukraine's years of independence. The 45th military aid package is already being implemented," Zelenskyy stated.
