More than 110,000 Russian soldiers are now concentrated in the Pokrovsk sector, allowing Moscow’s forces to advance. The situation remains very difficult.

Military expert, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff Ihor Romanenko reported this on Radio NV.

Russian forces have stockpiled drones and deployed additional UAV operators in the area. According to Romanenko, as a result, "everything that moves" in and around Pokrovsk is being targeted.

The invading army has managed to sever key logistical routes from the northeast to Pokrovsk, leaving Ukraine’s military with fewer options for resupplying its troops. Reinforcing Ukrainian units with personnel and resources could help stabilize the situation, the expert added.

“The encirclement around the urban agglomeration is tightening. What used to be a half-ring has now become a narrowing trap. This has serious consequences for the defenders inside the city,” Romanenko says.
