The Russian occupiers attacked the village of Malynivka in the east of Zaporizhzhia region, completely destroying buildings and Ukrainian Armed Forces positions. However, despite attempts to seize the area, the enemy failed to hold the ground — Ukrainian Defense Forces maintain control through fire oversight.
Spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn said this on the air of the telethon.
According to him, fierce battles took place in the Huliaipole area, during which the Russians even used motorized assaults on motorcycles. However, the occupiers could not hold Malynivka
«It’s no longer a settlement — it’s a ruin. But we control everything with fire,» Voloshyn noted.
He also reported that the enemy attempted to advance toward Novodanylivka and Kamianske, destroying Ukrainian Armed Forces positions. However, the aggressor failed to establish a foothold there as well.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction (Kherson region), a surge in combat clashes was recorded — over 40 in the past week alone. The Russians are trying to break through to strategic islands — Bilohrudyi, Velykyi Potyomkin, Kozulskyi, Nestryha, and Zabych — and increase pressure on the right bank.
«These actions are more like reconnaissance by combat than a large-scale offensive. But the threat is constantly growing,» the spokesman said.
Ukrainian defenders are holding the line along the entire front, inflicting significant losses on the enemy and preventing them from achieving tactical success.
