Hostilities in Kyiv Region: Around 300 People Are Reported Missing, Some of Them Are Kept Prisoners in Belarus

Around 300 people have been reported missing during active hostilities in Kyiv Region. By now 216 discovered dead bodies have not been yet identified, as Andrii Niebytov, the Chief of Kyiv Regional Police, reported.

"We have collected DNA samples according to the procedure. We hope that thanks to cooperation with families we will be able to identify those people”, he said. 

According to Niebytov, some missing citizens may be kept prisoners by the invaders. The investigation of the war crimes committed in Kyiv Region has revealed that many people are now detained in Belarus.

"According to the eyewitness accounts, there people were abducted by the invaders from Hostomel, Bucha and Irpin”, Niebytov said.
