Kostiantynivka trap: What hides behind Russia’s fake ceasefire

Russian forces proposed a ceasefire in Kostiantynivka, not to recover bodies, but to exploit the lull to infiltrate manpower and consolidate positions, the OSINT analytical channel DeepState warned.

According to analysts, intense urban combat is currently underway in Kostiantynivka. The enemy has reached the city outskirts, begun establishing positions, and is attempting to infiltrate deeper into the area.

"The Russians are trying to dig in near Illinivка and Novodmytrivka to cut off all movement and control over virtually the entire city. Concurrently, constant infiltrations into the settlement itself continue, where the Muscovites are taking heavy casualties," the channel noted.

DeepState acknowledges that the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kostiantynivka is highly critical, but the city remains under Ukrainian control.

Analysts also explained the appearance of Russian "tricolor" flags in Kostiantynivka. They say that these so-called "flag-planters" frequently seen online are purely part of the enemy's media campaign, as any infantrymen who survive long enough to record the footage are subsequently eliminated or captured.

Why Russia needs a ceasefire in Kostiantynivka

DeepState is certain that this is an insidious trap that must not be accepted under any circumstances.

"It is the search-and-strike operations of our drone pilots that prevent the enemy from fully digging in and seizing the city. As we have noted, the infiltration is driven by the enemy's numerical superiority and a shortage of our own infantry. Drone strikes are precisely what causes major disruptions for the enemy," the analysts explained.

The Russians are aware of this and are trying every possible way to capture the city, despite sustaining massive troop losses there.

"It is equally hypocritical to propose that Ukraine cease firing when Russia itself is obliterating the city with constant guided bomb and drone strikes. Any temporary peace proposals from the enemy must be categorically rejected; it is a lie masking treachery," DeepState concluded.
