The missile strike by the Russians on Odesa on Wednesday, March 6, was not related to the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the city.

This was stated by Spokesperson of the Defense Forces of South of Ukraine Natalia Humeniuk on the air of "Radio Svoboda".

According to her, the aggressor state continues its attacks on Odesa's port infrastructure.

"Odesa was struck by a missile. Probably it was the ballistic one. It hit one of the buildings in the port infrastructure. But this is in no way connected with a specific visit. This is connected with terror, which the enemy carries out quite methodically," Humeniuk said.

The spokesperson for the Defense Forces reminded that Russia constantly attacks the port infrastructure of Odesa. Such incidents occurred before the termination of the Black Sea "Grain Deal" and continue to this day.
