Ukrainians are strongly advised to limit their power consumption
Since October 10th, Russian invasion troops have carried out around 300 strikes against Ukrainian energy system, as Herman Halushchenko, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, reported.
According to him, the Russians have attacked Ukrainian energy systems with drones, artillery and missiles. Still, Ukraine is ready to withstand further attacks, even if they are even more powerful.
"Since last Monday, the invaders have carried out around 300 missile, drone and artillery strikes against our energy system. Obviously, we are getting ready to potential dramatic damage to our energy systems, which may take much more time to recover”, the Minister said.
He also strongly advised the citizens to limit their power consumption.
"The consumption has reduced, but when such reduction is not sufficient, we have to introduce mandatory restrictions. Therefore, it is important that people save power as much as possible. We want to achieve 20% power consumption reduction. It would be a critical support for our energy system”, he stressed.
