Over 60 "Shaheds" and almost 90 missiles: Zelenskyy spoke about the massive strike on Ukraine
The occupiers struck energy facilities and residential buildings.
On the night of March 22, the Russian Federation launched a massive attack on Ukraine. The invaders used more than 60 drones and almost 90 missiles of various types.
This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"The targets of Russian terrorists are crystal clear to the world: power plants and energy supply lines, hydroelectric dam, ordinary residential buildings and even a trolleybus. Russia is waging war against ordinary people. My condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed by this terror," the Head of State emphasized.
According to the President, necessary services are already operating in the populated areas attacked by Russia overnight. Rescue workers, energy workers, regional and local authorities, police, and municipal enterprises are working on eliminating the consequences.
"The restoration of electricity supply is underway. Kharkiv and its region, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk regions, Khmelnytskyi and its region - everywhere, where it is needed, restoration work has been ongoing since last night," Zelenskyy said.
He once again emphasized the importance of helping Ukraine with weapons. In particular, Ukraine needs air defense systems.
"Russian missiles do not have delays, like aid packages to our state. "Shaheds" do not have indecision, like some politicians. It is important to understand the price of delays and delayed decisions. "Patriot" systems must protect Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia. Air defense systems are needed to protect people, infrastructure, houses and dams. Life must be protected from these inhumans from Moscow," - Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
