On the evening of September 10, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered his traditional address to Ukrainians, highlighting the main events of the day.
National Security
The President listened to intelligence reports from Ukraine's Defense Intelligence and the Foreign Intelligence Service.
"Detailed information was provided about the opportunities available to Ukraine, as well as threats. We see the steps being planned in Moscow, and we will respond accordingly - exactly as tough as necessary for the sake of Ukraine.
And I want to say now to anyone in the world who still wants to help Putin in any way: we will do everything not only to defend our state and people, but to really consolidate the world for the sake of strong responses to warmongering or any attempt to prolong the war," Zelenskyy assured.
The Front
"Today there was a report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi. I thank all our warriors who are holding the front in the Pokrovsk direction, who are holding the Kurakhove direction. Who are really securing our positions. And we are approaching our partners' steps that can help now," the President noted.
According to him, the determination of the partners must become significantly "longer-range", hinting at reports that surfaced today in the media suggesting that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during his visit to Ukraine, might announce approval for strikes deep into Russia.
Tasks for the New Foreign Minister
Today, President Zelenskyy officially introduced Ukraine’s new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiha.
One of Sybiha's main tasks, according to Zelenskyy, is to "reconfigure the Ukrainian diplomatic system in such a way that we and our partners can respond much more actively to challenges."
Key priorities for the year include the second Peace Summit and collaboration with partners on the points of the Peace Formula and on developing a shared vision for ending the war.
