Russia began attacking the city of Selydove in Donetsk region with an entire army corps along with additional tank units.

Serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, political scientist Kyrylo Sazonov told about this on the air of "KYIV24".

"Their main focus right now is the southern part of Donetsk region — specifically Vuhledar and Kurakhove. It seems to me that they are redirecting their main forces there. Of course, to Selydove," the expert stated.

According to him, the occupiers have shifted their efforts south of the city of Pokrovsk. Additionally, fighting is ongoing in Toretsk, New York and Chasiv Yar.

"They continue to apply pressure, but this pressure, these assaults are more to prevent us from redeploying anyone from there," Sazonov said.

It is noted that the army corps may comprise between 30,000 to 60,000 personnel.
