By striking TRC buildings, the enemy aims to derail Ukraine’s mobilization process and spread fear and discouragement among civilians.
Spokesman for the Command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Vitalii Sarantsev said this during a broadcast on «KYIV24.»
According to him, the occupiers are intentionally choosing TRC buildings as targets. Their goal is to destroy conscription data in order to slow down or completely halt the mobilization process in Ukraine.
Sarantsev emphasized that the Russians also aim to spread fear and despair among the population. He explained that most TRCs and related institutions are located in densely populated areas, near developed infrastructure and commercial facilities.
This proximity, he noted, could provoke unlawful behavior and discourage civilians from visiting military enlistment offices.
«At the same time, Russia seeks to instill fear and hopelessness so that people simply stop going to TRCs for any reason — whether it’s to access social services, update personal data, or receive a referral to sign a contract with the Defense Forces,» the spokesman added.
