Ukraine must carry out strikes with long-range weapons on Russian territory — because if there are no retaliatory strikes, the aggression will only intensify.
This was stated by military analyst Oleksiy Hetman on the air of KYIV24.
“Because the Russians, when they realize they are not getting any response and are not frightened, continue to bring everything they can to the front line and increase their attacks. Once again, this is a country that is using aggression against us, and if we do not respond, the aggression will not diminish,” Hetman said.
He is confident: if Ukraine had received aircraft, air defense systems, and permission to strike Russian territory during the first year of the war, the front line would look different.
“The later the permissions to use weapons on Russian territory are granted, the further the Russians will be able to advance, and the worse the situation on the front line will become,” the expert added.
