Russia has for the first time targeted a solar power plant in the rear - "Ukrenergo"
Russia has for the first time deliberately targeted a rear solar power plant. This occurred on Wednesday, April 3.
Solar power plant
This was stated by Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Management Board of NPC "Ukrenergo", during a press conference at the "Ukraine-Ukrinform" Media Center.
"Yesterday, the enemy deliberately attacked a solar power plant. This is the first case, at least in my memory, of a targeted attack on a renewable energy facility," Kudrytskyi said.
It's not about an attack within the combat zone, but specifically about a strike on a rear solar power plant.
Kudrytskyi stated that due to the warming weather, overall electricity consumption is decreasing, so there is no acute shortage in the power system.
At the same time, there is a seasonal increase in electricity production from solar power plants.
