Russia has concentrated over 100,000 troops near Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka, focusing its forces on the main direction of its summer offensive.

On the Pokrovsk front, Russia has amassed the largest force seen throughout the entire summer offensive — more than 100,000 personnel alone.
Spokesman for the Joint Strategic Group of Forces «Khortytsia» Viktor Trehubov reported this during a broadcast on «Suspilne. Studio» on July 9.
According to him, the eastern part of the Pokrovsk direction, especially the area between Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka, has become the main zone of Russian pressure. Meanwhile, offensive actions continue on the Novopavlivka front, where the enemy aims to reach the administrative border between Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
«This is the main part of their so-called summer campaign. They planned to operate in three directions: Sumy, Novopavlivka, and Pokrovsk. The plan in Sumy region completely failed, in Novopavlivka they are trying hard, but progress is minimal. But on the Pokrovsk front, they have thrown in everything they have, ” Trehubov noted.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting tough defensive battles despite the enemy’s intensive use of aviation, guided bombs, and light and heavy equipment. According to the spokesman, within the «Khortytsia» group’s area of responsibility, Ukrainian forces are holding back a large-scale offensive, although with great strain.
