Russia is deceiving the U.S. and Europe: NSDC explains Putin's real intentions

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the next round of Russian-American talks regarding the cessation of the war in Ukraine "is unlikely to take place until the embassies of both countries resume normal operations." In this way, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin once again signals to the U.S. that he is ready to deliberately delay any dialogue that Trump desires.

The head of the NSDC Center for Countering Disinformation wrote about this

As Kovalenko explained, there are two reasons for this:

⦁ Russia has accumulated resources for war over the course of 2025 and is manipulating them;

⦁ Russia is ramping up its military-industrial complex, as well as using Belarus' military-industrial complex to produce weapons and missile components.

"Russia only declares its willingness for peace, but in reality, it is deceiving the U.S. and Europe while preparing for a large war specifically on NATO territory, in the Baltics, which will be disguised as demands to move the Alliance’s borders, claiming that it 'should not have expanded eastward,'" Kovalenko emphasized.
