Russia is preparing an offensive in multiple directions and aims to increase its troop grouping to 150,000 personnel, which is equivalent to approximately 15 motorized rifle divisions.
This was reported by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palisa, according to "Suspilne".
"The Russians currently have no problems with personnel mobilization. However, it’s important to understand that all these formations cannot be deployed into battle simultaneously. Therefore, it is expected that in the near future, they will try to apply maximum pressure in the directions where it is possible," Palisa said.
According to him, the formation of these units is ongoing.
Palisa notes that the increased pressure on the front is occurring amid consultations regarding a ceasefire, in which the Russians are not particularly interested - except possibly in matters related to the maritime direction, where a ceasefire is more relevant for them.
The enemy is also gradually advancing, trying to break through certain sections of the front. According to the Deputy Head of the President’s Office, these are partial tactical successes, which the enemy achieves at the cost of very heavy losses.
"But if they can afford it, they will continue dragging things out. On certain sections of the front, the enemy has some success, but we are also counterattacking and achieving results," the Deputy Head of the President’s Office said.
