President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia does not stop attacking civilian energy infrastructure and is already planning new strikes — despite public promises of peace.

The Head of State stated this after a meeting with the military, representatives of the SSU, the government, and the heads of the defense forces.

“Despite all of Putin’s promises to the United States and others in the world who strive for peace, Russia continues to strike civilian energy facilities in Ukraine. This terror is becoming increasingly insidious,” the President noted.

According to him, there are no signs that Moscow is ready for a serious dialogue or to end the war. On the contrary, according to available information from partner intelligence services, the Kremlin is planning further attacks on energy infrastructure, including nuclear generation. These plans may remain unnoticed by the international community due to the focus on the conflict in the Middle East.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the Ukrainian Minister of Energy has already passed the relevant intelligence to the IAEA and Special Representative Vitkoff, and the Minister of Defense — to his American counterpart.

Also, at the meeting, the President heard a report on the aftermath of the Russian strike on the Poltava region and instructed the Minister of Energy, the Minister of Defense, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to determine further actions. They also separately discussed the development of Russia’s strike capabilities and gave tasks to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system.

“There were also reports from the Head of the SSU and the Chief of the General Staff. The details are non-public, but the results of today’s discussion should have a tangible impact on the situation,” the President summarized.
