Russia Is Spreading New Fakes: Ukrainians Are Warned about Possible Provocations at Rivne NPP
Russians are spreading fake news to exacerbate panic among Ukrainians.
Russian intelligence is spreading disinformation about the alleged "storage of weapons and ammunition supplied to Ukraine at the territory of the Rivne NPP". These statements by the aggressor state are untrue and are nothing but another fake devised by of the Russian Federation, the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation reports.
"The CDC warns: Russian intelligence is spreading disinformation about the alleged storage of weapons and ammunition supplied by partners to Ukraine on the territory of the Rivne NPP," the statement reads.
The Russians are publishing fake reports that "the Armed Forces of Ukraine have turned the territory of the nuclear power plant into their arsenals." The enemy is lying that "missiles for HIMARS and other foreign air defense systems, as well as artillery ammunition are allegedly stored at the NPP warehouses".
"Meanwhile, the invaders expressed hope "that no one in Kyiv would think of deliberately blowing up the ammunition depots at the nuclear power plant to get more weapons from the West." We warn you that this information is not true!", the Center emphasized.
According to the experts, the Russian intelligence’s fake statement contrasts especially sharply with the message about "the start of the IAEA mission at the Rivne NPP, which will record any threats that may be caused by military actions".
"By publishing such disinformation, the enemy may be preparing the ground for concealing future crimes against our country and exacerbating panic among Ukrainians," the Center stressed.
