Russia launched 80 "Shahed" drones overnight: explosions reported across Ukraine
Most enemy drones were shot down in Odesa and Kyiv regions.
Air defense operated at night
On the night of October 27, 2024, Russia launched another aerial attack on Ukraine.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
"The enemy atacked with 80 "Shahed"-type combat drones, along with unidentified drones, from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Ukrainian Defense Forces were repelling the attack," the statement reads.
As of 9:30 a.m., the destruction of 41 enemy drones has been confirmed in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernihiv regions. Most enemy drones were downed in Odesa and Kyiv regions. Additionally, 32 Russian drones were lost on radar, and one flew in the direction of Belarus.
