On April 19, Russian forces used a «Molniya» unmanned aerial vehicle to attack one of the checkpoints in Kharkiv region where police officers and National Guard servicemen were stationed. As a result of the strike, five security personnel were injured.

Head of the Regional Police Petro Tokar reported this during a broadcast on «Suspilne.»

As a result of the strike by the Russian «Molniya» drone on the checkpoint, two police officers and three National Guard servicemen sustained concussions.

«Each explosion, equivalent to three to five kilograms of TNT, produces a shockwave, and all police officers who fall within the impact zone are diagnosed with „acoustic barotrauma,“ with all the associated consequences. This can include damage to the central nervous system and disruption of internal organ function,» Tokar explained.

According to the police chief, the injured received first aid and are currently feeling well. Tokar believes that the police officers and National Guard members will soon return to duty and continue assisting their colleagues.
