Russian penetration into Pokrovsk: Media reveals what the military says

Soldiers operating in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, confirm that Russian forces have entered the city. At present, elimination of the occupiers’ sabotage groups is underway.

"According to military personnel interviewed by the outlet, the first groups of Russian infantry were spotted in Pokrovsk five days ago — on July 17,” the media says.

Saboteurs penetrate Pokrovsk

The analytical project DeepState reported that “the elimination of sabotage groups” of the occupiers is ongoing in Pokrovsk. According to their information, the invaders infiltrated the city, where they aim to establish a foothold, wait for reinforcements to arrive, and seize control of Defenders of Ukraine Street.

“A couple of days ago, the enemy, taking advantage of the fact that one of the brigades had simply run out of infantry, as well as due to an inaccurate understanding of the situation on the ground, infiltrated the city through Zvyrove. The 155th Mechanized Brigade and the 68th Jaeger Brigade had to urgently step in to prevent a catastrophe,” DeepState emphasized.

It is noted that there are casualties on the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ side. Analysts also pointed out that videos have already appeared online showing Defense Forces soldiers being ambushed at the corner of Shevchenko Street and Defenders of Ukraine Street.
