Russian Troops Attempt to Approach the First Villages in Donetsk Region Attacking from Several Directions – Haidai

The invasion troops attempt to advance from seized settlements in Luhansk Region towards the first villages in Donetsk Region. The invaders consistently try to break the frontline and penetrate deeper into Donetsk Region along the entire administrative border, as Serhii Haidai, the Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration reports.

"It may seem that the invasion army conducts an offensive operation only in the western direction from Lysychansk. Although, in fact, our armed forces repel the Russian attacks along the entire frontline. The Russians approach from several different directions. If they face any resistance, they unleash real hell on earth and shell everything on the horizon. The danger awaits us everywhere from Kreminna to Popasna”, the Head of Luhansk Regional Administration emphasized. According to him, during the night of July 8th to 9th, the Russians launched eight artillery attacks, three mortar attacks and nine missile strikes.

“During July 8th, the invasion forces achieved limited success. Now they continue their advance to the West from Lysychansk. We still haven’t observed any operational pause declared by the enemy. The Russia units keep attacking and shelling our land with the same intensity as before. Our military units courageously hold the line of defense”, Haidai added.
