A hospital in Sumy Region was hit by the Russian shell during the working hours.
The Russian military shelled Bilopillia in Sumy Region killing a child and destroying a healthcare institution, as Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, the Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported.
"The enemy shelled the town from self-propelled howitzers (at least 20 shells fired). A 15-year-old boy, who was staying on the street, died on the spot. Russian shells exploded on the territory of the local hospital, when the clinic unit was receiving patients, and the building was crowded with people. The attack caused major property damage. The shells hit the second floor of the hospital. The wall was completely destroyed," Zhyvytskyi said.
According to him, a result of the attack the dental and surgical rooms were damaged, almost all the windows on all four floors were shattered and the surgical block was destroyed.
Currently, the State Emergency Service officers are working at the site of the attack to clear the debris. Four cars parked near the hospital were smashed to pieces. The local Prosecutor's Office building was also damaged in the strike.
