Strike on Kryvyi Rih: casualties reported, many buildings damaged

A Headquarters of Assistance to people from affected houses has been deployed in the city.

Russian forces launched a missile strike on a civilian infrastructure facility in Kryvyi Rih. The attack has resulted in injuries to five people.

This information was shared by Oleksandr Vilkul, Head of Kryvyi Rih's Defense Council.

Following the explosion in Kryvyi Rih, Vilkul reported a missile hit on a civilian infrastructure facility. "Four people have already been taken to the hospital by ambulances. All emergency and municipal services are working," Vilkul stated.

He later updated that the number of injured had risen to five. Additionally, numerous apartment buildings have been damaged.

Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported that the injured included four men aged 29, 41, 44 and 60 years. They sustained shrapnel wounds, bruises and acoustic barotraumas. All were taken to the hospital in moderate condition. Among the injured is a 54-year-old woman who will recover at home.

The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that an administrative building, two educational institutions and several vehicles were damaged in Kryvyi Rih. Details about the consequences of the attack are being clarified.

The city Headquarters of Assistance to people from the affected houses has been deployed. The address of the Headquarters is 36a Heroiv Pidpilnykiv Street (School No. 17). There, residents of damaged buildings will be able to receive help with building materials, film, OSB sheets, nails and more.

"Assistance with relocation, medical care, and psychological support will also be provided if needed," Vilkul added.

Emergency services and law enforcement officers are on the scene, documenting another war crime by the Russian Federation. A pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war.
