Strikes with "Kinzhals": why few of these Russian missiles were shot down
The situation was improved by the acquisition of "Patriot".

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has launched 48 “Kinzhal” missiles over Ukraine. The air defense forces managed to destroy only 15 such aerial targets.
Yuriy Ignat, Spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this on the air of the telethon.
"Why so few? Because we didn't have the “Patriot“ before. And now the "Patriot" allows us to intercept exactly "Kinzhals", - he emphasized.
Ignat also commented on the prolonged air alerts announced in the country due to the Russian MiG bombers flights.
According to him, the situation was studied in detail, and the commander of the Air Force reported to the top leadership of the state about "how many launches, how many flights, how many combat applications there were regarding “Kinzhals."
He stressed that, for instance, if the enemy launches a “Kinzhal” from the Tambov region, it reaches Kyiv in 2 minutes and Vinnytsia in about 3.5 minutes. That's precisely why, as Ignat notes, during the takeoff of bombers in Russia, the air alert map is "red for a reason."
