Regarding the issue of using Western weapons to strike Russian territory, there is no question of obtaining direct permission from the State Department to press the "red button" that launches ATACMS and HIMARS towards Belgorod. Currently, the focus is on ensuring a continuous flow of intelligence data on Russian territory 24/7, similar to what is done during strikes on enemy targets in the temporarily occupied territories.

This was explained by military expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi from Defence Express during a broadcast on the "Espreso" TV channel.

For instance, it would be possible to see a drone recording the results of an ATACMS strike on a training ground where the Russian occupiers were stationed, with two missiles eliminating over 100 Russians.

"What we are asking for is exactly this - to be provided with such capabilities. However, the West has not agreed to this so far. Interestingly, it's a paradoxical situation as even on our side, there is no highlighting of information that only Western media report on," the military expert said.

The point is that we are requesting some kind of long-range reconnaissance drones from the USA. It is emphasized that the Americans do not need these drones, but they are not providing them to us.

"It’s strange that we are facing the challenge of first creating reconnaissance capabilities that would allow us to strike the occupiers on their territory 24/7. But so far, this has not been announced", Kyrychevskyi summarized.
