The counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been going on for several days: Podolyak's statement

The Ukrainian counteroffensive has started and has been going on for several days, Mykhailo Podolyak, Adviser to the Head of the Presidential Office, said.

The Italian TV channel Rai writes about it.

"The counteroffensive has been ongoing for several days, intense combat operations are taking place along a 1500-kilometer border, but actions have already begun," the TV channel quotes Podolyak.

He also spoke about the supply of western weapons to Ukraine, stressing the absence of plans to strike Russia. Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will use weapons from allies exclusively to liberate the captured territories of Ukraine.

"We don't want to strike the territory of Russia, we will use the weapons you gave us to destroy the positions of the Russian Federation in the territories occupied by Moscow, including Donbass and Crimea," said Podolyak.

He noted that today the Ukrainian military has long-range Storm Shadow missiles, Leopard tanks and anti-missile systems "provided to us by France and Italy."

The Adviser to the Head of the Presidential Office also emphasized that the F-16 fighters will finally allow us to close the airspace.

"Paradox: if we had them (F-16 - ed.) a year ago, the war would have already ended," Podolyak added.
