The enemy may intensify additional vectors of the offensive and open, for example, a section of the front near Sumy to turn both the city of Sumy and Kharkiv into a "grey zone".

Military expert and Ukrainian Armed Forces Major Oleksiy Hetman discussed this on "Espreso".

"Theoretically, it can be assumed that the occupiers want to significantly stretch our defense line. Sumy region has 560 kilometers of the border with Russia. However, they may lack the necessary forces, because approximately 30,000 Russian soldiers are concentrated there. How do they plan to stretch these troops across the entire front line and even reach Kharkiv region, which would extend the front to nearly a thousand kilometers? I don't think they will be able to do that," the expert said.

The occupiers want to create a "grey zone" from large cities, that is, a so-called "sanitary zone," as stated by their foreign minister Sergey Lavrov.

"There are more than a hundred kilometers from the border with Russia. Accordingly, both Sumy and Kharkiv fall into this "sanitary zone". First, they need to make it extremely difficult to stay in the city. And I think that is what they will do. They will shell Kharkiv if they get closer", Hetman said.
