The occupiers plan a provocation at the Sumy border: what is known

The Russian occupiers are accumulating military forces at the border with Ukraine near Sumy region. There are suggestions that the Russians may be preparing provocations in this direction.

Military expert Vladyslav Seleznyov shared this information with "24 Kanal."

It is noted that Kursk region, which borders Sumy region, does not have enough forces for large-scale offensive operations. According to various sources, the enemy has accumulated about 11,000 troops near this border section.

At the same time, this number of occupiers is insufficient to occupy Sumy. The Russians are likely to try to create a "sanitary zone" with sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

"The enemy may actively use mortars and artillery systems to strike our border areas. From time to time, enemy guided aerial bombs will also hit our territories," the military expert suggested.

He also added that the activities of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have become routine. Recently, such groups tried to attack one of the directions in Sumy region.

It is also important to understand that there will be no calm areas in the territories that have been liberated from enemy occupation.

"The enemy is constantly looking for weak spots in our defense, using sabotage and reconnaissance groups and special forces to obtain operational intelligence information. Ukrainian forces and means will constantly be in Chernihiv and Sumy regions to be ready to counter the enemy," Seleznyov emphasized.
