On Wednesday, November 13, the Russian occupiers attempted to break through the Ukrainian defense line in the Kupiansk direction. Some Russian soldiers were dressed in uniforms resembling those of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The report emphasizes that such actions by the occupiers violate the laws and rules of war and constitute a war crime.
“Enemy assault groups attacked Ukrainian defenders’ positions in four waves. In total, the enemy used about 15 units of equipment, including tanks, armored combat vehicles, and a UR-77 mine-clearing vehicle,” the General Staff added.
Despite the deception of wearing Ukrainian uniforms, the enemy was unsuccessful in its assault attempts.
Ukrainian defenders stopped the occupiers, destroying all armored vehicles and eliminating a significant number of enemy personnel.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine praised the professionalism and coordination of Ukrainian infantry, tank crews, artillery, and UAV operators.
