Can Ukraine create nuclear weapons: an important statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Information suggesting that Ukraine "could develop a basic nuclear weapon within a few months" is not accurate. The use of nuclear materials by Ukraine for military purposes is impossible.

This statement was made by Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Heorhiy Tykhyi.

He emphasizes that Ukraine adheres to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. "We neither possess, develop, nor intend to create nuclear weapons. Ukraine works closely with the IAEA and is fully transparent for its monitoring, which makes it impossible to use nuclear materials for military purposes," Tykhyi wrote on platform X.
