The Russians storm the border: Where the situation is most critical
Russia has intensified its assault attempts both along border areas and across the front line. The most tense situation is in Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kramatorsk regions, within the area of responsibility of Ukraine's border guards.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are on the defensive
This was stated by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, during the national telethon.
"The most challenging situation is precisely in Sumy and Kharkiv directions. The enemy is constantly attacking our border guards' positions to dislodge them from their held lines. There is also persistent pressure in the Kramatorsk direction. However, thanks to the resilience and professionalism of Ukrainian defenders, these attacks are not succeeding," he noted.
According to Demchenko, the enemy is attempting to expand the combat zone deeper into Ukrainian territory while actively using guided aerial bombs.
In Kharkiv region, the most intense fighting is taking place near Vovchansk, where Ukrainian border guards are continuously repelling attacks. There are also ongoing enemy attempts to advance in the Kupiansk direction.
