The Ukrainian side is against introducing a range limitation for the ‘Taurus’ long-range cruise missiles, if Germany decides to transfer them to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This was stated by Oleksii Makeiev, Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany.
"To technically limit the range of ‘Taurus’ is like telling the players of the national team not to cross onto the opponent's half of the field or not to take penalty kicks. What comparisons can you come up with? Only wrong answers," he wrote and added a gif of a surprised football player.
It should be noted that Germany is delaying the transfer of ‘Taurus’ cruise missiles to Ukraine. As Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz explained, this decision must be thoroughly checked. He also noted that the majority of citizens in Germany believe that it is necessary not to respond with a "yes" to every demand for delivery right away.
