Ukraine has submitted to the United States a list of energy facilities that must be protected from attacks under an American initiative aimed at halting both Ukrainian and Russian strikes on energy infrastructure.

This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on March 25.

Zelenskyy explains that the initiative involvs a mutual commitment not to target energy facilities, based on the principle of "we don’t strike their energy infrastructure – they don’t strike ours."

"We separately, just in case, provided (during the meeting in Riyadh – Ed.) all our facilities (energy infrastructure – Ed.). We submitted a list of facilities that we believe must not be targeted," the President noted.

The President also emphasized that the proposal for a ceasefire in the Black Sea pertained only to civilian shipping and included a ban on attacks on ports.
