President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has shared his expectations from the summit of heads of state and governments of NATO member countries, which will take place in Vilnius on July 11 and 12, 2023.
The Head of State made these remarks during a press conference on the occasion of Journalist Day.
"I believe that this is a good platform (for drafting security guarantees for Ukraine on paper - Ed.). If we do not have guarantees and if we do not have signals about our future in terms of membership in the Alliance, then what should we do with you there? Why are we being invited to this summit? I want to be very honest with our society. If we understand that we are not expected there and that no one will give us guarantees on paper, legal guarantees, not like the Budapest ones. If no one is giving us that, then why are we meeting? What for?" Zelenskyy stated.
