Why Did Invaders Remove Russian Flag from Kherson Regional State Administration Building: the AFU Warns about Enemy’s Potential False Flag Operation

The Russian flag disappeared from the building of the Kherson Regional State Administration. The Ukrainian side does not rule the out the possibility that the invaders removed it on purpose in face of upcoming false-flag operations, as Natalia Humeniuk, the Head of Coordination Headquarters of Press Center of Ukrainian Southern Defence Forces said during the national telethon.

According to her, the Russians could have removed the flag in order to demonstrate that their military have allegedly withdraw from the city.

"The enemy is trying to convince the AFU that it is leaving the populated areas. We are monitoring the situation. This may be a trick used as a cover for certain military maneuvers needed in order to set up a more efficient defense system. We should not be in a hurry to rejoice, we should understand that hybrid warfare includes the active use of this kind of misinformation" she said.

Humeniuk also assumes that invaders may change into civilian clothes in order disguise themselves and conduct false flag operations while terrorizing the local population. Disguised Russian soldiers have need noticed not only in Kherson, but also in other towns and villages in Kherson Region, where they moved into houses abandoned by Ukrainian refugees.

According to her, the invaders are trying to create a "picture" that Ukrainian troops are  allegedly shelling civilians.

"They want to create fake impression that after entering the populated areas, the AFU starts to attack civilians. This is need for their propaganda channels, but we are ready to respond to this kind of false-flag operations," Humeniuk said.
