Russia has significantly changed its approach to attacks on Ukraine, employing a combined tactic with the use of a large number of strike assets within a single sector.

This was stated by aviation expert Anatoliy Khrapchynskyi during a broadcast on «Kyiv24.»

According to the analyst, Russia’s new strategy involves the simultaneous launch of aeroballistic and ballistic missiles, strike and decoy drones, and cruise missiles. The enemy also uses tandem launches, where two missiles follow the same trajectory, one after the other, making their detection and interception more difficult.

Khrapchynskyi says that this approach aims to overload Ukraine’s air defense system, which physically cannot track a large number of targets at once. In some cases, radar systems can only track up to 10 objects simultaneously.

In response to the growing threat, the expert suggests expanding the arsenal of interception tools, ranging from conventional artillery to small missile systems, interceptor drones, as well as electromagnetic and laser weapons. There is also a need to strengthen electronic warfare systems.

«All types of interception assets should be concentrated in a single sector to respond quickly and accurately depending on the type of target, ” Khrapchynskyi concluded.
