On one of the flanks of the Kharkiv direction, soldiers from the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence "Chimera" unit are defending the village of Tykhe and preventing the Russians from advancing in this direction.

"Chimera" unit is part of the special unit "Timur", belonging to the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence.

"The local terrain does not favor the enemy. There are ravines, elevation changes, and extremely dense forests everywhere. It’s difficult to maneuver heavy equipment here. However, they are using buggies and other mobile, high-speed vehicles. Their equipment is becoming increasingly better. In this regard, they are doing well," explains Deputy Battalion Commander with the call sign "Shendros."

“Shendros” also described the operational situation on this part of the front.

"The Russians are trying to push us from the front, bypass us from the left flank, and from the Vovchansk side, to get behind us. But we are supported by guys from the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade. They are destroying the enemy and really helping us out," the deputy commander says.

Will the enemy take Vovchansk?

“Shendros” believes that the Russians will eventually succeed.

"They aim to turn the city into a “gray zone” 10-20 kilometers deep. This is needed to pull our forces away from other directions: Donbas, the south, Zaporizhzhia region. They want to keep us constantly on edge. And, of course, to destroy. Apart from destruction, these bastards know nothing else," the soldier says.

The Russians are advancing in this direction due to a large amount of cannon fodder.

"Putin doesn’t care about these people. He has a goal and keeps pushing. But we don’t care that he doesn’t care. We are rock-solid and will hold on to the end," says the radio operator with the call sign "Rafik."
