"You cannot respond to them": Zelenskyy's emotional statement on strikes on targets in Russia

President Zelenskyy called it unfair that Western partners do not allow Ukraine to strike military targets on Russian territory with Western weapons.

The head of state made this statement at a press conference with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo on May 28.

Zelenskyy reiterated that Ukraine does not have permission to use Western weapons for strikes on enemy targets within Russia.

The President says that the country is appealing to its partners for permission to hit military targets on the territory of Russia with Western weapons.

"You cannot respond to them in any way. Even when you see the points, even when you get maps, satellite images from intelligence. You see where they are positioned, but you cannot respond to them. I think this is unfair," the head of state stated.

"But we cannot, and this is a fact, risk the support of our partners. Therefore, we do not use the partners' weapons on Russian territory. And we appeal: give us the opportunity to respond appropriately to their military," Zelenskyy urged.
