Zelenskyy accused Russia of sponsoring HAMAS

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia is not only an aggressor state in Ukraine, but also plays its role in the war in the Middle East by sponsoring HAMAS.

He said this in an interview with NBC News.

According to him, "the whole world should do everything possible to stop this war" in the Middle East.

President Zelenskyy emphasized that the war between Israel and HAMAS forces the US to help with funding and resources in the two conflicts. That is why he is trying to reconcile Ukraine's fight against Russia with Israel's fight against the Palestinian militants.

President Zelenskyy stated that he is "ready to go to Israel today," although his previous attempts to visit the country have hit a dead end.

"It's hard to say whether the trip will be possible, because I'm the president of the country at war and you know it's very hot on our battlefield," he said, adding that any possible visit would depend on , "what is happening on the battlefield" in Ukraine and whether it is possible to return to the homeland Ukrainian citizens who are in Israel, since commercial flights are not departing from the country at the moment.

NBC News reported that they reached out to the Kremlin and HAMAS representatives for comments on Zelenskyy's statement but have not yet received a response.
