On April 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Ukrainians and reported good results on weapons, international support, movement towards NATO, and reconstruction.

The Head of State traditionally made his statements in a video address.

Poland

"Nice to end this week with good results for the country in terms of weapons, international support, expanding our connections with the world, and our movement towards NATO. The most significant of these days, of course, is the visit to Poland. Our agreements, our achievements. Poland has fulfilled all its declarations on tanks. They are in Ukraine. In particular, the Leopard. There are new agreements regarding infantry fighting vehicles - more than a hundred machines. Regarding Rosomak armored personnel carriers - 200 machines: now 100 and 100 later. Also, self-propelled mortars, additional missiles, MiGs," Zelenskyy said.

He announced important agreements on the economy and reconstruction of Ukraine, particularly in relation to Kharkiv region.
In addition, there are various humanitarian and medical projects between the first ladies of Ukraine and Poland. This includes training Ukrainian medical personnel in comprehensive care for patients with burns and emergency air evacuation of the wounded, particularly from combat zones.

"Dozens of our doctors have already undergone or are currently undergoing such training. The project will continue with training in rehabilitation and training of Ukrainian psychologists. So in this struggle for life and freedom, we are truly shoulder-to-shoulder with our Polish brothers and sisters in all areas," the president noted.
He thanked the Poles for their consistent, diverse, and large-scale support.

USA

"There is a new, already 35th, defense package from the USA: missiles for HIMARS, missiles for air defense, artillery shells, for protection against armored vehicles, and other important support elements. Thank you, America," said the President.

Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway

He also informed that this week Ukraine's support from Germany increased by 200 million euros in investments in the country. In particular, these are projects of German companies that will help the economic and therefore social stability of Ukraine.
"The Netherlands announced a package of more than 270 million euros. This is assistance to our recovery, humanitarian, non-lethal support for defense, and also - this is very important - support for justice. For collecting evidence of Russian crimes, for creating a Register of losses inflicted by Russian aggression. Thank you, Netherlands, for being together with us in all areas of life protection!" - said Zelenskyy.

He announced that Denmark and Norway are working on a joint package of aid with shells for Ukrainian artillery.

In addition, there are new sanctions decisions from Australia and New Zealand.

The first address to the Chilean Parliament

"Continuing to appeal to parliaments around the world and for the first time addressing a parliament in Latin America, the parliament of Chile. The values that we all fight for here in Ukraine are close to every nation, regardless of how far geographically they are from us. Everyone values security and protection from terror. There is no nation that approves of what the Russian occupation has brought: Russian concentration camps, deportations of our children, rape of women, burning of cities... The more the world knows about Russian aggression, the faster the aggressor loses, and peace returns. It will not only return to Ukraine - it will return to everyone in the world. I thank Chile for its support!" said the President.

Lithuania and NATO

He emphasized the very important decision taken this week in Lithuania regarding the main expectations from the NATO summit planned in Vilnius.

"The Lithuanian Seimas recognized the need to invite Ukraine to become a member of NATO - to invite it this year, at the summit in Vilnius. I thank the Lithuanian people, all Lithuanian politicians for understanding the current security situation in Europe. Only together with Ukraine will the Alliance guarantee real protection to Europe from any attack on the lives of peoples - on existing borders and international order based on rules. And it is difficult to imagine strength without Ukraine," said the Head of State.

He announced that this decision of the Lithuanian Seimas will be followed up in the coming weeks and months. The work on this is ongoing.

Zelenskyy traditionally thanked all Ukrainian defenders: "Everyone who is in battle now. Who defends our sky. Who provides cyber defense and protects communication. Everyone who holds our border. Who trains our new brigades. Who eliminates the consequences of strikes, who saves our people from injuries and prepares sentences for the occupiers. Glory to everyone who fights for Ukraine!"
