President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia used Chinese satellites to film Ukrainian nuclear power plants, possibly preparing for potential strikes on them.
The Head of State said this in an interview with ABC News.
Zelenskyy claimed that Russia photographed Ukrainian nuclear power plants. “Russia used Chinese satellites and photographed details of objects at nuclear facilities,” Zelenskyy said.
“From our experience, if Russia photographs certain objects, there is a threat of strikes on nuclear facilities,” the President of Ukraine noted.
He did not specify whether these were Chinese commercial satellites or satellites controlled by the Chinese government. Zelenskyy said he would share the information known to Ukraine with leaders at the UN General Assembly this week.
Journalists asked for a comment from the Chinese embassy in Washington, but has not received a respond to the request.
