Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that Russia is not ready for real negotiations and continues to terrorize Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy states that any negotiations with Russia are only possible after an unconditional ceasefire.
The Head of State said this during a meeting with journalists.
«I am not afraid of any option or format of negotiations with the Russians. With mediation, without mediation, with the U.S., with Europe — it doesn’t matter. But any negotiations must be substantive. How can you talk directly with ballistic missiles?» — Zelensky stated.
He emphasized that the ceasefire must be unconditional, and only after that can any format of dialogue be discussed.
«For negotiations, the Russians need to stop being mere killers and be ready for diplomacy. So far, they’re just devils, ” the President stressed.
Zelenskyy also commented on attempts by Russian representatives to create the illusion of peace initiatives.
«They go to America, give speeches, appear on TV channels, and talk about how they want peace. They show some „mineral deals“, claiming they are ready. But real readiness is shown through actions, not words, ” the Head of State noted.
