Ukraine is conducting internal state procedures regarding the deal with the United States on natural resources, particularly analyzing its compliance with the Constitution.
This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, as reported by "Suspilne" and "European Pravda".
Sybiha says that the deal on natural resources "is being analyzed for compliance with legislation" and its alignment with Ukraine’s European integration plans.
“The deal cannot contradict our European integration efforts, and we are making this clear to the Americans,” the Foreign Minister emphasized.
The minister also announced that the Ukrainian delegation would soon travel to the United States for further negotiations. Meanwhile, another round of talks may take place online on April 4.
“The next step will be the arrival of the Ukrainian delegation in Washington to discuss the details,” Sybiha said.
He clarified that the in-person negotiations would take place within one to two weeks.
Plans are also in place to initiate parallel negotiations at the political level, involving government officials from both sides, as well as discussions at the level of commercial legal advisors.
“One of the most renowned law firms will be involved in supporting the negotiation process. This firm will assist the negotiation team and also conduct its own track of negotiations with American lawyers,” the minister explained.
