Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, says that the state seeks real security guarantees in exchange for its mineral resources. The official also listed them.

Podolyak shared this in an interview with "24 Kanal."

What security guarantees does Ukraine want to receive?

According to the advisor to the head of the Presidential Office, the state aims to obtain the following security guarantees in exchange for its mineral resources:

Missile defense systems: between 15 and 25 systems with an appropriate number of anti-missiles;

Missile bases with a sufficient number of missiles, intelligence data, and targets pre-programmed into the missiles to be immediately destroyed on Russian territory;

Army re-equipment: primarily an increase in personnel numbers, the introduction of modern command systems, coordination systems, and more;

Military production: the supply of weapons to Ukraine starting today, until the state reaches certain levels of domestic arms production.

Podolyak notes that there is an additional component being discussed by Ukraine's European partners.

"This involves peacekeeping contingents that could be deployed either along relevant sections of the frontline or at infrastructure facilities. However, there’s an additional condition – European peacekeeping contingents are possible on Ukrainian territory only if the United States guarantees their air support," the advisor to the head of the Presidential Office explained.

He added that the agreement with the U.S. regarding mineral deposits must include provisions specifically addressing the capabilities or obligations of the United States.
