Ukraine needs a technological breakthrough in military developments, said Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Presidential Office at the Kyiv Security Forum. NATO military officials, diplomats, and global experts in Kyiv sought to determine if there is light ahead in the confrontation between democracy and dictatorship. The battlefield is currently the territory of Ukraine. To win, Ukrainians are striving to lead in military innovation. Ukrainian technologies helping to strike the enemy are now being studied worldwide.

This is reported in a segment by TSN correspondent Ihor Bondarenko.

Virtual battle for a real sky

The TSN film crew is taking down "Shaheds" in a virtual simulator. This is a trainer for teaching mobile air defense groups. The system was developed by a team from Kharkiv who experience the onslaught of Russian drones daily.

"You don't need to go out into the field or launch a target—you just stand in a room and train 24/7, getting the hang of it," says Serhiy Ostroushko, a representative of the simulator development company.

In one minute, a real Browning machine gun can fire 20,000 UAH worth of ammo. The virtual training complex saves ammunition and prepares mobile groups faster.

"Octopus": intelligent hunter of "Shaheds"

The "Octopus" joins the protection of the energy sector. The new interceptor drone has just entered mass production and is already known even in Britain. Its main feature is an AI-powered guidance system.

"The effectiveness from the brigades that used it is up to 50 percent. That means one kill for every two sorties. Analogous interceptors require 7–10 units," says Anton Kumechko, a representative of the drone manufacturing company.

NATO generals' reaction and Budanov’s forecasts

NATO generals admire our courage and even quote Kobzar in English.

Kyrylo Budanov emphasizes: the future lies in scaling technologies where drones identify targets themselves. "Everyone has seen the use of Russian models where they already identify targets and maneuver themselves—this is the future. We are not lagging behind; we have our own developments, but scaling is needed. We will see this within six months."

Ukrainian developers are already working on operating robots not from a trench, but hundreds of kilometers from the front. A drone in the Chernihiv region, a pilot in Kyiv. Ukraine proves once again that it knows how to defeat the darkness.
